FOALS FOR 2024!
Heritage and Versatility! The majority of our foals are born April through June and will be weaned late October. They will be offered for sale mostly as yearlings. We occasionally have two year olds for sale. They will all be sired by our herd stallion, DREA Chewelah Celilo. They will be registered with ApHC and eligible for the ApHC FPD (Foundation Pedigree Designation) Program. Our foals are also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Association (CRHA) registration.
Keenan Ranch foals are born and raised in a 180 acre pasture with varied terrain that includes a brushy creek bottom, open fields and hills. They learn to travel the pasture while interacting with other members of the herd. They occasionally share the pasture with cattle. We visit with them frequently and they enjoy getting attention. Whether you are looking for a ranch partner, family horse or competitor, we believe our program gives our foals a great start to go in many directions.
We have 3 foals born late spring/early summer in 2024 from the following mares -KR Cheyennes Image(Butterscotch), Ochoco Black Bonnie(Blu), and Ochoco Midnightmagic(Bailey)! We have one filly born late November 2024 out of DREA Tobygirl Ochoco(Brigette). We also have a filly from November 2023 out of DREA Tobygirl Ochoco(Buttons)! All of our foals are 6 panel tested negative through their sire and dam with Animal Genetics for the following genetic disorders: PSSM1, GBED, HERDA, MH, HYPP and IMM. Introducing Butterscotch!
Photo above of Butterscotch taken December 14th. We have begun round pen sessions at liberty with all our weanlings. Our progress will be dependent on the Montana weather and we will post updates as we move forward. Butterscotch is definitely ready for winter to arrive with her fluffy coat!

Introducing our first foal for 2024! KR Butterscotch, a pretty buckskin leopard filly. Butterscotch was born May 15, 2024. She is sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo and out of KR Cheyennes Image. Butterscotch is 6 panel clear by parentage, eligible for FPD 100%(Foundation Pedigree Designation with ApHC) . She is also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Association. Our Memorial day Colt, blu!
KR Red White and Blu was born on Memorial Day, May 27, 2024! Blu is sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo and out of Ochoco Black Bonnie. He is 6 panel clear by parentage, eligible for 100% FPD with the Appaloosa Horse Club and also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Assoc.

Bailey Feeling Zippy!
Bailey is a pretty black near leopard filly who was born on 6/12/2024! Photo above is from November 10th. She is sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo and out of Ochoco Midnightmagic. Bailey is 6 panel clear by parentage, 100% FPD(Foundation Pedigree Destination) eligible with ApHC and she is also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Assoc.

Introducing KR Brigettes Bay Frost!
Our November 2024 filly.
Our mare, DREA Tobygirl Ochoco blessed us with another November filly! Brigette was born on a frosty morning on November 21st. All photos of her are from December 18th. She's a pretty fancy bay filly with a large spotted blanket! Brigette is sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo, 6 panel clear by parentage, 100% Foundation Pedigree Designation(FPD) eligible with ApHC and also eligible for Colorado Ranger Horse Certification.

Our last foal of 2023, a beautiful buckskin filly with a spotted blanket born on 11/19/2023! Sired by DREA Chewelah Celilo and out of DREA Tobygirl Ochoco, this yearling filly is smart and with her conformation, will be a great prospect for many directions such as ranch, endurance and arena.
